Atlantic City, New Jersey (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) — A ten foot long lighting fixture fell from Tropicana casino Resort building, Atlantic City where a big accident was averted as it almost missed a woman narrowly. The fixture was part of the building that fell off from the roof that stands tall at 28 feet while crashing in the middle of street.
While another piece of the off fixture was dangling in wind, police cordoned off the entire area while temporarily preventing around dozen of cars from leaving their garages. According to a woman who resides in the Bucks County, Pa, said that she heard the sound and saw shattering around her while she ran in order to save her from the ten foot long massive lighting fixture. However, her husband does not wish to be identified.
According to a passer by, Raymond Larry, the woman was exceptionally lucky as he passing shortly after the incident. However, according to the spokeswoman of Tropicana, Diane Spiers said that there was no construction work or repair was being carried out on the building and the fixture simply fell off the building. Once the lighting fixture fell off, the repair crew immediately came into action and started working on the second lighting piece that was dangling. An investigation also took place so as to know exactly how the lighting fixture fell off from the roof.
During last year, in the month of December, the state cancelled Tropicana’s casino license due to poor service, cleanliness and poor compliance as per the state regulations. Presently, the property is one of the most lucrative deals open for sale. This includes the largest hotel of New Jersey that has more than 2,120 rooms. However, many people are of views that Tropicana has been a poorly maintained premises that has been struggling with many issues over the past decade and its new construction work was not up to the mark.
