Guardian angels or pure luck?

Long Island Vital Transportation limo driver cheats death. Long Island, New York (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) — How often do trees in the middle of a concrete city randomly topple over? Probably not many, but it did happen to a 60-year-old limo driver, Fransisco Vizuete, about to begin his drive to the Newark Airport for a pickup. He put the key into the ignition but before he even started the car or had a chance to drive away, he heard the odd sound of a tree falling, almost a deep creaking. As he looked to his left the trunk was moments from landing on top his car. With a crash the gigantic tree smashed into his windshield causing glass to shatter everywhere. Passers-by and bicyclists stopped in awe and shock as they saw the aftermath. A male biker immediately pulled Vizuete from the vehicle and to safety. Contrary to what one might expect someone to look like after cheating death and escaping a car that a tree fell on – Vizuete only suffered minor cuts on his hands.

But what caused this great piece of nature, sturdy and tall, to collapse? Researchers into this random happening found that a recent storm had cracked the tree down its middle, making it weak and unsteady. Ironically, in his 13 years as a cab driver in Ecuador and 32 years as one in New York, Vizuete has never been involved in an accident. He is truly one lucky man; it just was not his time to go. Reports after the accident said Vizuete was extremely happy and went to buy a lotto ticket that night in thanks for his good fortune.
