New York, NY (New York Injury News)–A lawsuit was filed by attorneys representing a fan New York Yankees fan who claims he was thrown out of Yankee Stadium in the Bronx last summer when he attempted to use the restroom during the” God Bless America” performance. As reported by the New York Daily News, Bradford Campeau-Laurion a 30 year-old Bronx Bomber fan alleges when the stadium erupted into the song during the seventh inning he attempted to use the bathroom. New York Police Department officers refused to allow him out of the stands informing him he could not leave until the song was over. When Laurion attempted to walk around the officers, they grabbed him and escorted him out of the ballpark.
Lawyers for the fan, who is claiming civil rights violations of religious and political freedom, also named Yankee Partnership. The Yankee Partnership has a company policy restricting fan movements during the playing of “God Bless America”. The lawsuit alleges police officers have no right arresting someone who choses to be politically incorrect. According to the New York Daily News team the disgruntled fan was not arrested and was merely escorted out of the ball park when he failed to cooperate with police officer requests.
