Westchester County car crash explodes into flames killing driver and passenger.
New York, NY(NewYorkInjuryNews.com)–Yorktown Police Department accident investigators continue to review a one motor vehicle collision, on Underhill Avenue, early Sunday morning, that left both the driver and passenger dead. As reported by the Lower Hudson Journal News, Yorktown Volunteer Fire Department found one BMW M3 automobile engulfed in flames at about 2:20 a.m. with the driver and the passenger trapped in the fiery car wreckage.
Yorktown police authorities have recreated the fatal automobile accident and have reported speed was a factor in the car smashing a tree and erupting in flames early Sunday. The driver, identified as Jerry Nardone, a 24 year-old Chappaqua man and his passenger friend, 21 year-old Joe Buonagurio of Yorktown, died at the car crash scene. The New York Medical Examiner’s Office will determine if alcohol or drugs was involved in the fatal motor vehicle collision (MVC).
