New York, NY(NewYorkInjuryNews.com)–New Haven’s Dixwell fire station continues to mourn the loss of 14 year veteran firefighter, Patrick Reardon, who died from a traumatic brain injury, on Tuesday. Details of how Reardon sustained the traumatic injury remain unreleased. According to the Hartford Courant, Reardon fell and hit his head at the Dixwell Fire Station on April 11, 2009, which caused his head injury.
The veteran firefighter was working at the Dixwell Fire Station in New Haven when he fell and hit his head causing a traumatic brain injury. He was rushed to the Hospital of Saint Raphael where he remained in critical condition until he died from his massive brain injury on Tuesday. The U.S. Fire Administration confirmed the veteran fire fighter’s fall at work. Calling hours are scheduled from 2 to 7 p.m., Sunday, at Monahan Co, Smith & Crimmins Funeral Home, 11 Wooster Place, New Haven. A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Lawrence Church, 207 Main Street, West Haven. The burial of Patrick Reardon will be at All Saints Cemetery.
