New York, NY(NewYorkInjuryNews.com)–New York State Police were forced to shut down both southbound lanes of the New York Thruway between exits 21 and 20 about 25 miles south of Albany after a semi-truck wreck. According to Newsday, one of the lanes of the closed southbound Thruway has been reopened to motorists by New York States troopers.
Apparently the Hudson Valley area big rig wreck happened at about 4:20 a.m. Friday morning on the Thruway in the town of Catskill. New York State Troopers remain investigating what caused the UPS driver of a tandem tractor-trailer to crash. The driver was injured in the wreck and transported by emergency medical personnel to Albany Medical Center for treatment for his injuries. Semi-truck accident investigators report no other motor vehicles were involved in the UPS driver’s crash.
