Burlington County area N.J. Turnpike fatal semi-truck wreck claimed 5 victims.
Newark, NJ(NewYorkInjuryNews.com)–As reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer, New Jersey State Police highway fatality investigators released the names of the driver and four passengers killed in a tractor-trailer wreck. The fatal semi-truck wreck happened on the New Jersey Turnpike on Saturday while the driver of the car waited in line to exit the toll road. The seven car crash which started with a tractor-trailer driver happened in the southbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike just north of Exit 4 in Mount Laurel a town in Burlington County.
New Jersey State Police highway investigators claim the Georgia truck driver of the 2000 Freightliner tractor-trailer, slammed into the back of a 2004 Buick LeSabre, which was carrying five people reportedly on their way to a wedding. The automobile burst into flames and killed the driver and four passengers identified as 72 year-old Jeanette Urbano and 74 year-old Salvatore Urbano of Passaic. Anna Kane, 76, Rose Kane, 75, and Francis Kane, 78, were all from Kearny.
A New York City Jeep Cherokee driver and two passengers were all injured in the fatal semi-truck wreck and transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden. The results of the truck driver’s blood sample remain pending while police tractor-trailer wreck detectives continue to investigate the 8 motor vehicle collision.
