Howard County tow truck wreck kills 13 year-old passenger and injures several.
Baltimore, MD(JusticeNewsFlash.com)–A two-vehicle wreck on Route 32, in Sykesville, left a 13-year-old boy dead on Wednesday, as reported by the Baltimore Sun. The victim, Vincent Woodward, 13, was riding in the front passenger seat, of a 2008, Mazda 5 minivan, when the driver Kyong Hae Kim, 51, pulled out in front of a flatbed tow truck. According to Howard County police officials, Kim was making a left turn onto the southbound Route 32, around 5 p.m., when she pulled out in front of the oncoming 1997 International Flatbed tow truck.
Howard County police reports indicate, Kim was transported by area emergency medical service (EMS) crews to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where she was in critical condition. Another victim, 5-year-old Jacqueline Woodward, was transported to a Maryland area children’s hospital, where she was reportedly in stable condition. Vincent was brought to Howard County General hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The tow truck driver, Tymothy Thatcher, 39, of Westminster, was reportedly not injured in the fatal truck wreck.
