Texas 18-wheeler collision kills one and seriously injures several.

Dallas, TX (JusticeNewsFlash.com)—The Dallas Morning News reported a fiery, 18-wheeler collision, involving multiple vehicles, on I-35E, left a female motorist dead, and two others injured on Wednesday afternoon. According to Dallas area police officials, two cars were reportedly parked along the southbound shoulder of I-35E, when a traveling 18-wheeler struck the two cars. The collision caused the big rig to jackknife, strike a cement divider, and overturn. The cab of the tractor-trailer caught fire, which trapped the injured truck driver inside. Another trucker, who witnessed the accident, ran over and rescued the driver from the burning cab.

Dallas police officials say a woman, who was inside one of the parked cars, later died at a Dallas area hospital due to her injuries sustained in the fatal semi-truck wreck. The two injured truck drivers were transported by emergency medical services (EMS) crews to a Dallas area hospital for treatment of their injuries. It is unknown at this time if anyone was inside the other parked car when it was hit by the 18-wheeler. Dallas highway fatality accident detectives are investigating why the 18-wheeler struck the two cars parked on the shoulder. Highway officials closed the ramp from the bush Turnpike to I-35E, and rerouted the southbound traffic to the Bush Turnpike.
