French investigators discover signals from black boxes of Indian Ocean plane crash.

New York, NY(JusticeNewsFlash.com)–As reported by Reuters, French investigators claim acoustic signals, from the black boxes aboard the Yemeni jet that crashed into the Indian Ocean last week, were detected on Sunday. The tragic plane crash had only one survivor, a 14-year-old girl, and left 152 other people believed to be dead. The commercial airliner plunged into the Indian Ocean as it attempted to land at Moroni, the capital of Comoros.

According to the Yemeni transport ministry, the news of the signals, from flight data recorders, came after search crews located a large piece of wreckage from the airliner on Saturday. France’s BEA air accident board stated two acoustic beacon signals were located on Monday morning following extensive underwater searches by area submarines to locate the flight data recorders of flight IY 626. Officials indicate plans are in action to retrieve the black boxes from the Airbus 330 within days, but it is unknown when the boxes will be retrieved.
