Virginia truck accident attorneys- a truck crash involving a Ford pickup truck and a moving van critically injures nine.
Leesburg, VA—Nine people were left seriously injured when a moving van collided with a pickup truck on Belmont Ridge and Creighton roads in Ashburn. The accident occurred on Monday, July 20, 2009 at around 1 p.m., as reported by the Washington Post.
According to Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, the van was driving east on Creighton Road when the driver ran the stop sign and careened into the passenger side of a Ford pickup truck, which was traveling south on Belmont Road. The driver of the van was identified as Aldo Fabian Arroyo-Hernandez, 26, of Herndon. The three passengers traveling in the van identified as Jose Amides Ayala-Mejia, Jose Armando Romero, and Porfirio Manchame, 33, were all injured in the automobile wreck. The occupants of the van were transported by area emergency medical service (EMS) crews to Inova Fairfax Hospital for treatment of their serious injuries. Meija and Romero are reportedly suffering from life-threatening injuries. The driver of the pickup truck, Aaron Castelan Mendoza, 23, of Annapolis and his four passengers, Omar Cruz Castelan 24, of Manassas; Roberto Castelan, 20; Santiago Rojas, 20; and Andres Galacia Rivera, 22, of Manassas were all seriously injured as well. The pickup truck occupants were transported by EMS personnel to Inova Fairfax Hospital for treatment of their serious injuries. The four truck passengers are reportedly in critical condition. The driver of the van was cited for reckless driving, driving without a license, and failure to obtain a Virginia license. Police officials stated no one in either vehicle was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
