2 Sport utility vehicles collided victimizing 4 in Lancaster NY is being investigated by police authorities
Lancaster, NY (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) — In Lancaster NY -east of Buffalo- two Sport Utility Vehicles collided head-on at the crossroads Sheldon Avenue and Waldon Avenue, reported Police officials, announced by the Buffalo News.
One of the drivers was discovered by Emergency Medical personnel to be intoxicated and will be charged accordingly. The driver of the second SUV suffered serious injuries. The crash occurred around 11pm Monday evening, Authorities reported.
Police Investigators identified the driver under the influence as 23-year-old, Eric J. Berst, resident o f Kenmore. Berst was heading westbound when swerved into the eastbound lanes and crashed into SUV of 3 passengers and driver, 30 year-old Juliette Peterson, resident of Buffalo, New York.
Every person involved in the collision survived. Emergency paramedics transported Juliette Peterson, a young teenager, and two adults in the SUV that was hit by Berst, went to the Erie County Medical Center. The passengers suffered multiple injuries to their extremities.
Eric Berst was also taken via Emergency vehicle to the Erie County Medical Center and suffered only minor injuries.
After being released from the Hospital, he was then questioned and charged by the Lancaster Police Authorities for a DWI, however more accusations are expected to be put against him.
