West Palm Beach, FL–On July 28, 2009, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) http://www.fda.gov issued a nationwide alert urging consumers to stop using body building supplements marketed and sold with steroid and steroid like substances. The federal government’s Public Health Advisory (PHA) states many of these over the counter performance enhancements and health pills are marketed by the manufacturers as dietary supplements.
One particular manufacturer of performance enhancement supplements, American Cellular Laboratories, Inc., received a Warning Letter from the FDA. The letter warned American Cellular Labs, who claims on their Internet website their mission, “…of formulating the most unique, effective, and legal products to provide athletes with XTREME RESULTS.”, to stop marketing and distributing potentially harmful steroid containing products. Federal officials say American Cellular’s products contain synthetic steroid substances as dietary substances when they are unapproved and misbranded drugs that potentially cause serious adverse effects including liver injury. Drug related injuries to consumers can cause permanent damages causing innocent consumers to suffer physically, mentally, emotionally, and economically.
American Cellular states on their website they are committed to providing, “new products held to the highest possible standards.” The FDA announced the following American Cellular products can cause serious injury and damages because they contain substances that are illegal and potentially quite dangerous:

-MASS Xtreme
-ESTRO Xtreme
-AH-89-Xtreme
-HMG Xtreme
-MMA-3 Xtreme
-VNS-9 Xtreme
-TT-40-Xtreme
These products are sold on the Internet and in some stores and the FDA is strongly urging consumers to stop taking these supplements immediately because they contain unapproved new drugs and they have not been recognized as safe and effective. The over the counter products are also misbranded and their labels do not provide safe and effective use directions.
