Nassau county car crashed into tree killing 3 and injuring 1, detectives reported
Nassau County, NY (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – In Wantagh, a hamlet of Nassau county, a car was found demolished after hitting a tree with 4 victims inside—3 dead, and 1 critically wounded, reported police officials, as announced by NBC New York.
The car crash occurred early Monday morning, declared detectives. The car was identified as a Honda Civic, which landed on side of the road of Southbound Wantagh State Parkway, near Merrick Road after smashed into a tree wrecking the vehicle almost beyond recognition. Police have begun to investigate how the vehicle could have strayed from the road. There has not been any conclusive evidence to properly assess the cause of the situation as of yet.
The driver and the three passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash were all in their twenties, according to medical authorities. After examining the deceased, 2 of the passengers were identified as a 19-year-old female from the Wantagh area, and another was a 23-year-old from the Bronx. Police could not identify the third victim of this horrible wreck. The lone survivor of this crash was a female from the Amityville area. She was transported via Emergency Medical Services to a hospital where she was treated for her critical injuries.
The identities of the victims have yet to be announced. Investigators are in the process of determining the cause of the 1-car collision through the evidence yet to be collected. Sources say that alcohol could have been a factor; however, police are taking a deeper look into the accident.
