Legal News for Boston Work Related Firefighter Injuries – Boston, Massachusetts Police officials, firefighters and the Coastguard work to put out the blazing boat houses.Boston, MA (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) –The Ipswich River was filled with debris and a thick blanket of smoke from the raging fire that destroyed the boathouse at 27 Water Street and another house on 29th Water Street, as announced by the Boston Globe. Fire fighters hosed the out of control flames with thousands of gallons of water in hopes to quench the blaze and cut the losses. Witnessing neighbors nearby could not help but be alarmed by the intensity of the fire.
One building crumbled underneath the heat of the blazing inferno. Boats were still anchored to the docks of the burning buildings. Witnesses from across the river were reached by the smoke and debris of the devastating scene. One of the houses could not withstand the heat and fell to pieces into the river. The boathouse at 29 Water Street, which was a relatively new building, was still intact but greatly damaged.
The Coast Guard searched the river to make sure that there was no one in the river near the fiery buildings. They also made certain that the water was not showing any forms of pollutants. The fire department, Coast Guard and police officials worked to put out the fire, clean up the debris, and make sure mariners were informed to stay away from the scene. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
