Long Island Motor Vehicle Accident Lawyer Alert: Suffolk County jeep entered into the wrong lane and collided with car killed 1 and injured 5.
Suffolk County, NY (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) — A man from Kings Park was killed and 4 others suffered injuries when a jeep went into their lane colliding with the vehicle head on. The man was traveling with his 2 daughter and their 2 friends at the time of the accident which occurred on Old Northport Road Sunday evening, reported Newsday.
The driver of the Nissan Altima was identified as 52-year-old Michael Albertini. He was transported via Emergency Medical Services(EMS) to Saint Catherine Siena’s Medical Center, reported Suffolk County police. His oldest daughter, 19 –year-old Lauren Albertini was transported to Saint Catherine’s for her injuries due to the car collision.
16 –year-old Dina Albertini was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital. The two other passengers traveling in the Nissan Altima were 15-year old Jill Viola and 14-year-old Olivia Holmes who were both transported for their injuries to Huntington Hospital where they were treated by doctors and nurses soon after the crash.
The driver of the vehicle that collided with the Altima was a 57-year-old Ira Epstein who was driving her 2005 Jeep Laredo on the wrong side of the road when she hit the Altima, reported police officials. Epstein had been taken to Huntington Hospital to be treated for her possible injuries.
Officials did not release the situation of each of the victims as of yet. Both vehicles involved in the accident have been possessed by officials for evaluation as the investigation continues.
