NYC Taxi Cab Accident – New York taxi passenger attempts to choke driver

New York motor vehicle accident lawyers report on how a taxi cab crashed into a church when taxi passenger attempted to choke driver.

Mount Vernon, NY (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) — Westchester County taxi driver claimed that his passenger attacked him and attempted to choke him and steal from him, which caused him to lose control of his vehicle and drive into the front of a church located on South Fulton Avenue, announced the Journal News.

When police officials arrived on the scene, they were shocked to find 5 people trapped inside the church form the outside. There has been no information released as to whether these 4 adults and a 3 year-old-child were injured due to the crash. Detectives in Westchester County are investigating to find out the reason that these people were locked in the River Jordan Holy Tabernacle Church.

The police found out about the accident when a local resident filed a noise complaint. The information that the police have discovered thus far is that the cab driver had been at the Cross County Shopping Center at 3am when the assaulting passenger was picked up.
Officials believe that it was the passenger’s intention to rob and assault this cab driver, at the time that he lost control of his vehicle and slammed into the church building. Police officials explored the church where they found evidence of the 5 people living within the church.

One of the missing links is that the church was locked from the outside, therefore these All 5 of the people locked inside the church were of a Caribbean background. They were transported to Mount Vernon Hospital as a safety precaution after the taxi crashed. Officials stated that the church would probably be barricaded from the public by the Westchester County Child Protective Services. The investigation continues.
