Vermont motor vehicle accident lawyer announces a Vermont 2 vehicle crash injures a pregnant woman and 4 others on Route 7.
Pownal, VT (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – A 2 vehicle crash on Route 7 on Monday injured 5 and 2 unborn babies are dead, announced Rutland Herald.
Police officials reported from the scene that there were 2 vehicles involved and both drivers were injured. A vehicle heading southbound on Route 7 struck a husband and pregnant wife’s minivan head on. The force of the crash caused the 6 month pregnant woman to lose her unborn twins, reported officials.
Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene, where the husband and wife were transported via trauma helicopter to separate hospitals to be treated for their severe injuries. The pregnant woman was identified as 38-year-old Patricia Blair resident of Bennington, reported authorities.
Blair’s husband, identified as 37-year-old Randy Blair suffered serious injuries in the accident. The driver of the other vehicle was identified as 22-year-old Kelly Cook, who is required treatment for her injuries. Patricia Blair was flown to New Hampshire’s Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.
Also injured in the crash were the Blair’s two children, 7 and 8-years-old who were transported and discharged from Southwestern Vermont Medical Center later that night. Kelly Cook needed surgery for injuries suffered due to the crash. Bennington police continue to investigate the crash.
