New Jersey woman hit by two semi-trucks, falls 80 feet off bridge

New Jersey Truck Accident Lawyers report NJ driver was hit by two semi trucks before it crashed through a guardrail and fell off the Bridge.

Berks County, PA (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – A New Jersey woman traveling on I-78 Bridge was struck by two semi trucks and then smashed through the guardrail falling 80 feet off the Bridge, reported the Reading Eagle.

The woman identified as 21-year-old Andrea Ross resident of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, was stuck in her vehicle until Fire rescue officials got her out, reported authorities. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) did not release information about Andrea Ross’s condition after the devastating accident. She was transported to Reading Hospital to be treated by doctors and nurses for her wounds. The collision was said to have occurred early Wednesday morning close to Route 61.

Authorities reported that Ross was making her way eastbound and failed to yield to traffic before merging onto I-78 when her vehicle was hit by a semi truck. The operator of the semi truck driver was 25-year-old Salvador Morales-Velez. Soon after Ross was hit, she was pushed into the left lanes of traffic where another semi, driven by Bernard Kilbreth, crashed into her.

The impact of the second semi threw the vehicle back at the first semi truck. The Ross’s car then lost control and jumped a guardrail falling off a Bridge 80 feet onto the Shore of Schuylkill River. Neither Truck driver sustained injuries. Andrea Ross’s condition remains undisclosed. The eastbound lanes of traffic on the Bridge were blocked off from the public for several hours after the tragic accident.
