New Jersey motorcycle accident attorney issues news brief – NJ motorcyclist suffered severe injuries after being hit by semi truck.

Morris County, NJ (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – In Wharton, a motorcyclist was transported via trauma helicopter for semi truck accident injuries, announced the Star-Ledger.

The Budd Lake motorcyclist involved in the crash— a resident of Mount Olive township — was identified as 47-year-old Joseph Granuzzo.

Police officials reported that the accident occurred around rush hour Wednesday morning, when the semi truck had stopped at a stop light, when Joseph Granuzzo had pulled in front of him in the right lane. When the light turned green, the truck driver, identified as 30-year-old David Zack, moved forward, not realizing that he was propelling the motorcyclist in front of him. The semi truck pushed the motorcycle for 100 yards.

The motorcyclist, Joseph Granuzzo suffered from a serious leg injury from being pushed forward by the semi truck. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) reported on the scene to transport Granuzzo to Morristown Memorial Hospital to be treated by doctors and nurses. The accident took place near Route 15 on North Main Street. Police officials ticketed Zack for his careless driving. Morris County Police continue to investigate this accident with Rockaway Township officials.
