Emergency medical services transported injured teenage bicyclist to Massachusetts hospital after U-Haul accident.

Newton, MA (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – A teenage girl was riding her bicycle across the Newton Roadway when she was hit by a U-Haul moving vehicle in the morning on Tuesday, announced Boston Globe.

The 19-year-old female had been reportedly crossing Walnut Street coming from Lakewood Road when the U-Haul moving truck traveling northbound crashed into the bicyclist on Newton highway, police investigators reported.

Authorities have not released the victims name to the public as of yet. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to the scene of the accident to transport the injured teenager to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston to be treated by doctors and nurses, announced police. Police stated that the teenage bicyclist collided with the truck at around 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

Medical officials did not inform police of the condition of the teenage woman’s injuries due to the crash. The crash continues to be probed by investigators to determine the cause. The driver of the U-Haul was only identified as the 27-year-old driver of the truck. Police have not held the driver for charges relating to the accident yet. Police authorities stated that the woman riding her bike was not within the crosswalk since there was not one to be found near that intersection.
