Massachusetts police reported several injured transported via ambulances when motorcyclist crashed into van.
Oxford, MA (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – In Worcester County, a woman driving a van was leaving a parking lot when she struck a motorcycle on Route 20, announced Boston Globe.
Police arrived on the scene to find four people involved in the crash and two of which needed medical attention as soon as possible. Ambulances arrived on the scene to take care of those requiring treatment.
Massachusetts police reported that the one of the van passengers was severely injured in the collision and motorcyclist was killed. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transported the motorcyclist Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge, where his injuries later proved fatal.
The female passenger riding in the van was transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester to be treated by doctors and nurses for the injuries sustained in the crash. The passenger riding with the motorcyclist suffered serious wounds in the crash and was taken the UMass Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
The driver of the van, identified as Joann Burlingame, resident of Charlton, sustained only minor wounds, and was transported to Harrington Memorial Hospital.
Police on the scene did not publicly release all the identities of the victims involved until the families or relatives are contacted about the accident.
