New Jersey City woman injuries proved fatal in car collision after emergency medical services took her to the hospital.
Trenton, NJ (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – New Jersey police officials are investigating a two car collision in Maine that resulted in the fatality of a Jersey City woman Monday night, announced the Jersey Journal.
Police reported that a Hyundai veered across the middle of the road in Route 3 when the driver failed to make a turn around the bend and struck another vehicle. Officials identified the driver of the Hyundai as 31-year-old Prabhuram Sivaprakasam, resident of New Jersey City.
The vehicle was traveling with five other passengers in the vehicle at the times of the crash including Prabhuram’s wife and infant. Emergency medical services (EMS) responded to the scene of the accident. The driver of the other vehicle was identified as 50-year-old Kelly McNutt, resident of Noblesville, Indiana.
The Hyundai that was had driven into the wrong lane was carrying the driver’s wife, who police identified as Ramyaa Lakshminarayananr. After being transported via ambulance by paramedics, she was declared dead at the Maine Coast Memorial Hospital.
Her 1-year-old infant, who was present in the vehicle, and husband Prabhuram, survived her in the crash. The two other passengers traveling in the Hyundai at the time were identified as 58-year-old Amudha Katram and 26-year-old Rajashri Gandhiraj who suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital along with the McNutt and her passenger whose identity has not been disclosed.
