Flint, MI–Michigan State Police have a suspect in custody in connection with two separate Friday morning shootings in Owosso which left two confirmed men dead as reported by FoxNews and the Flint Journal. Jim Pouillon, a 63 year-old know anti-abortion activist was protesting across the street from Owosso High School when an unnamed drive by shooter shot and killed him. Around the same time, Owosso police officials received reports of another shooting death, Mike Fuoss. Shiawassee County Sheriff’s Department reported Fuoss was found dead in his office at a gravel pit business in Owosso.

School officials immediately locked down the Owosso High School at 7:30 am when the shooting began. Police have barricaded off the murder scene in front of the high school and parents were permitted to escort their children from the school grounds. Michigan high school officials reported most of the students in the school, which is located about 20 miles west of Flint, were already inside the building when the shooting occured. Both suspected murder scenes are under investigation and no reports of injuries to area students have been received.
