Camden County, NJ (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – A local New Jersey judge suffered a fractured skull and a traumatic brain injury when he was riding his bicycle and fell into a pothole, announced the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The judge identified as 55-year-old Lee Solomon, resident of Haddonfield, New Jersey was taking a leisurely ride on his bicycle with a friend on Church Road when he fell into a pothole head first and fractured his skull, broke his pelvis and hip along with his eye sockets on Sunday morning.

Judge Solomon was transported via emergency medical services (EMS) to Cooper University Hospital’s ICU to be treated for his serious injuries by doctors and nurses. The New Jersey Supreme Court Judge had served as a judge for more than 3 years as a Republican councilman, assistant United States lawyer and a prosecutor in Camden County.

Solomon was riding his bicycle to get ready for an Ocean County 150-mile charity bike ride to raise funds for those who are struggling with multiple sclerosis (MS). The brain injury that Solomon suffered from the accident is a subdural hematoma.
