Phelps, NY (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – A car heading southbound crashed into a northbound vehicle at an Ontario County intersection, announced Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.
The accident took place around 3:30 p.m. between Route 88 and Route 96 on Friday afternoon, according to police reports. The driver of the first vehicle heading south on Route 88 has been identified as Ashley McNulty, resident of Phelps. Police did not report her age. She was attempting to make a left hand turn onto Route 96 when she failed to yield to the right of way.
Her car turned and an oncoming vehicle, traveling northbound on Route 96, crashed into the car and injured her passenger. Police identified the driver of the northbound vehicle as 26-year-old Adam Ruthven, resident of Phelps. Police did not report Ruthven as injured in the crash.
Emergency medical services (EMS) arrived on the scene to transport the injured via ambulance. The girl traveling in McNulty’s vehicle was identified as 17-year-old Brittany Walker, resident of Clifton Springs. She was transported to Clifton Springs Hospital to be treated for neck and shoulder injuries by doctors and nurses. Her condition was not known. McNulty was issued a ticket for failure to yield.
