Utah personal injury attorneys alert- A Syracuse High School teen was injured after being run over during homecoming parade.

Ogden, UT—A girl was seriously injured after she was run over by an SUV pulling a trailer during a high school homecoming parade. The incident happened on Thursday night, September 24, 2009, at 2300 W. 700 South, as reported by the Desert News.

Davis County Sheriff’s officials reported, a 17-year-old girl was run over during Syracuse High School’s homecoming parade. The girl reportedly jumped into the open back hatch of an SUV, which was pulling a 16-foot trailer with six to eight students on it. The girl decided she wanted to join her friends on the trailer when she tried to move from the SUV to the trailer. The girl tripped and fell while she was trying to make the transition and was run over by the wheels. The SUV was reportedly moving at a very slow speed when the incident occurred. The unidentified girl was airlifted by area emergency medical services (EMS) crews to Ogden Regional Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. The girl suffered injuries to her abdomen, arms, and legs. Police officials are reportedly conducting a full investigation into the homecoming parade mishap. At this time no citations have been issued in connection with the accident.
