Connecticut Motor Vehicle Accident Notice: Three taken to Danbury Hospital after crash

Newtown, CT (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – Three people sustained injuries in a two vehicle accident on Berkshire Road Sunday morning, October 4, 2009, announced The News Times.

Police reported to the scene at 8:45 a.m., to a collision involving a Nissan Murano station wagon and a Kia Sport SUV, which seriously injured three people. The SUV was reportedly traveling eastbound and the Station wagon was traveling westbound, when the two vehicles collided.

The driver of the Nissan station wagon was identified as 48-year-old Gail Demaio, resident of Monroe, whose vehicle had rolled over multiple times before it finally came to a stop. Her passenger, identified as 53-year-old Debbie Draven, resident of Milford, was also injured in the crash. The driver of the SUV was identified as 52-year-old Zezilia Santiago, of Newtown, reported chest pains due to the accident.

Emergency medical services (EMS) responded to the scene to transport the injured victims. Both drivers and Demaio’s passenger were taken to Danbury Hospital to be treated by doctors and nurses for their injuries.

Both the SUV and the wagon were taken by tow truck to a shop to be repaired for the major damages sustained in the crash.
