New Jersey police reported that the collision occurred near Midfield Road and on St. George Avenue. Police reported that the motorcyclist was traveling north, when the minivan cut the rider off while trying to turn into a bank parking lot. Police reported that the biker was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle, and the minivan was a Toyota. The incident took place around 11:45 a.m. in Woodbridge, New Jersey.
Police only identified the motorcyclist as a 23-year-old from Linden, N.J. The driver of the minivan was identified as a 36-year-old woman from Colonia, N.J.
When she went to turn into the parking lot, she reportedly did not see the motorcyclist. The driver of the minivan remained unharmed in the crash. Police officials at the scene announced that a medical flight helicopter flew the motorcyclist to Robert Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick for head trauma and a thigh injury. The scene of the collision was cleaned up before the afternoon.
