The driver of the 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was identified as 32-year-old Center Moriches resident Jennifer Johnson, who had been heading south on the Parkway when she struck and killed Lynch Sunday morning. Johnson was charged with driving while intoxicated and striking a pedestrian. Michael Lynch was declared dead at the scene of the accident. Suffolk County police reported that it appeared that Lynch was walking home. Close to a half an hour after the crash, Johnson drove back to the scene of the accident to give herself up to the police.
