Jersey City, NJ (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – A Ford Escort crashed into a building after a collision that injured multiple people on Tuesday, November 3, 2009, announced the Jersey Journal.

The collision occurred on Fourth Street and Jersey Avenue, when a 1999 Ford Escort ran a stop sign and crashed into a 2001 Ford Explorer. The 46-year-old female driver of Explorer spun out-of-control from the impact of the crash, which also launched the Escort into the wall of a nearby building.

Police reported that the passengers and both drivers were transported to the Jersey Medical Center to be treated for unspecified injuries.

The female driver of the Explorer said she made a complete stop and then entered the intersection when the Escort came barreling down Jersey Avenue, and struck her vehicle.

The driver of the Escort claimed that the other driver ran the stop sign. There were three passengers in the vehicle at the time, ages 19, 21, and 22. The investigation continues.
