Syracuse, NY (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) –A thruway crash on Sunday morning, November 1, 2009, involved four Syracuse University (SU) football players in an SUV crash, announced the Post-Standard.
The four SU teammates were traveling in a Ford SUV driven by offensive lineman Andrew Tiller, when a semi truck reared-ended them in the town of Lenox around 5:30 a.m.
Police reported to the scene of the accident where the three passenger Torrey Ball, Antwon Bailey, and Mike Williams were in the damaged vehicle that sat at mile marker 259.1, reported New York State police.
Police reported that the driver of the semi truck, identified as Nathan Primrose, resident of Clyde, was entirely at fault for the crash since he struck the Ford SUV from behind causing it swerve off the road.
Andrew Tiller was transported to a local hospital by emergency medical services (EMS) to be treated by doctors and nurses. His injuries were not specified. The other SU foot players remained unharmed according to the accident report.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Primrose was at fault due to his inattentiveness to the road.
The coach of the Syracuse University football team, Doug Marrone, announced that Bailey, Tiller, and Ball were suspended. Williams reportedly quit the team entirely.
