Gloucester City, NJ (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – A West Berlin man was ejected from his vehicle after it struck a box truck, and then slammed into a guardrail on 1-676 at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2009, announced the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Police identified the man, who was thrown from out of his Nissan Altima, as 31-year-old Justin Robillard. Officials declared that his injuries proved fatal at the scene. Robillard was traveling with his brother in the passenger seat at the time of the crash.
Police identified the brother as 36-year-old Joshua, who was transported to Cooper University Hospital to be treated by doctors and nurses for his injuries. State officials reported his injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
Joshua claimed that the vehicle cut them off sending their Altima out of control and into the center lane. The car struck a box truck, crashed into the guardrail, and then swerved back into the truck.
Police identified the driver of the truck as 26-year-old Pavlo Vidyaev. He and his passenger, 25-year-old Lance Kaplan, remained unharmed in the wreck. Both men were reportedly residents of Brooklyn, New York. Officials reported that the fatal accident took place near the Collings Avenue exit on I-676 and the crash temporarily closed the northbound lanes from Camden to Gloucester City for three hours.
