Milford, CT (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) — A car crashed through a storefront window of a nail salon in Milford on Thursday afternoon, November 12, 2009, announced NBC Connecticut.
Eight people were injured after a car slammed through the front window of a Milford nail salon, Thursday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. Police and emergency medical services (EMS) rushed to the scene of the accident where shattered glass and debris covered the sidewalk in front of Sun Nails on Bridgeport Avenue.
Eight people, who were inside the salon, suffered injuries in the crash. One of the victims who was seriously injured was an employee of the salon, who was pinned against a wall when the car crashed into the desk. Four were taken to the hospital to be treated by doctors and nurses for non-life threatening injuries. The others were treated at the scene for minor wounds.
The driver of the Honda Civic that lunged through the store was female and a client of the salon, reported investigating police. The Milford Building Inspector was called to the scene due the emergency crew’s uncertainty that the building would stay standing. The structure was boarded up so that police could continue the investigation. Police have not filed any charges against the driver.
