Northfield, VT (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) –Former U.S. Senate candidate, Larry Drown, ran over a female construction worker in Northfield on Friday, November 13, 2009, announced WCAX.
Police and emergency medical services (EMS) arrived at the scene of the serious accident where former U.S. Senate candidate Larry Drown, had reportedly ran over a flagging female construction worker, and then backed up over her body at the intersection of Water and Wall Streets. Investigating police determined that the incident was in fact a deliberate act.
Larry Drown was accused and was charged with aggravated assault and gross negligent operation resulting in injury. EMS transported the badly injured woman to Central Vermont Hospital located in Berlin to be treated by doctors and nurses. She was placed in critical care. Authorities did not release her name.
Candidate Larry Drown had run for statewide office four different times with no success. He then ran for U.S. Senate (2006), U.S. House (2004), Vermont secretary of state (2000) and Vermont attorney general (2002).
Drown is on record for another criminal charge in December 2006 on account of road rage when he chased down another driver called him several names, got out of his car and slammed the driver’s side door.
