The company reported that 641,000 units of the recalled product “Bobby Chupete” Pacifiers have been sold nationwide. The importer of the China manufactured pacifiers is Grand World Inc. located in Maspeth, New York.
The CPSC and Grand World voluntarily recalled the pacifiers due to failure to meet government safety requirements. The pacifier mouth guard is too small, which poses a choking hazard for small infants and toddlers. There have not been any injuries reported as of yet, due to the defective product.
The “Bobby Chupete” Pacifiers are described as having a ring-shaped handle and heart-shaped mouth guard with two ventilation holes with a latex nipple. The “Bobby Chupete” packaging is a picture of a baby printed. The pacifier was sold in aqua, red, white and yellow colors sold across the nation. This product was sold between November 2004 and July 2009 for the price of $1.
