Arden, DE (NewYorkInjuryNews.com) – A male pedestrian was struck and critically injured by a minivan on the streets of Arden on Saturday afternoon, November 21, 2009, announced the News Journal.
Delaware State police reported that the serious incident occurred at the intersection of Harvey and Veale roads around 4 p.m. Police identified the injured Wilmington pedestrian as 21-year-old Tristan Moosreiner, who had been walking on Harvey Road when he went to cross the intersection, and was hit by a minivan.
The driver of the minivan was identified as 44-year-old Laurie Morente, resident of Wilmington, who was turning east onto Harvey Road from Veale Road when the 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan struck Moosreiner.
Emergency medical services (EMS) arrived at the scene of the crash to airlift Moosreiner via helicopter to Christiana Hospital where he was treated by doctors and nurses for a potential traumatic brain injury (TBI). Charges have not been filed as of yet. Harvey Road was temporarily shut down for a few hours for police to investigate.
