Florida Highway Patrol alerts Florida motorcycle accident lawyers- A man is dead after his motorcycle crashed into the side of a school bus.

Fort Myers, FL—A motorcyclist was fatally injured when his motorcycle struck the side of a school bus on Monday morning, November 23, 2009. The school bus apparently turned into the path of the motorcycle at the intersection of McGregor Boulevard and John Morris Road around 6:15 a.m., as reported by NaplesNews.com.

The Florida Highway Patrol reported, Robert H. Cook, 57, of Cape Coral, was traveling on his 1986 Harley Davidson southbound on McGregor Boulevard when the school bus pulled out in front of him. The school bus was apparently stopped at a red traffic light and then made a left turn onto McGregor Boulevard, when the motorcycle hit the side of the bus. Emergency medical services (EMS) teams rushed to scene, and pronounced Cook dead at the scene when his injuries proved fatal. The driver of the bus, John C. Donahue, 68, of Fort Myers, remained uninjured in the crash. It is unknown why the bus driver did not see the oncoming biker. Thankfully, there were no children on the bus at the time. Police officials are currently investigating the fatal collision. At this time, no charges have been filed in connection with the wreck.
