California personal injury attorneys alerts- A boy was seriously injured after a getting pinned in a crash between his house and a van.
Bakersfield, CA—A young boy who was playing in his front yard became trapped in-between his family van and his house after a passing vehicle lost control and hit the van. The boy was rushed to the hospital after being hit on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 around 2:30 p.m., on the 300 block of South Real Road, as reported by TurnTo23.com.
The 7-year-old boy was reportedly playing his in front yard of his home when a passing motorist somehow lost control of their vehicle. The car crossed the northbound lane of Real Road, jumped a curb, and drove through a chain link fence before slamming into the family’s van, where the boy was playing behind it. The impact of the collision pushed the van backwards, subsequently pinning the young boy between the vehicle and his home. Thankfully nearby drivers rushed to help the seriously injured boy, or he may have died after the horrifying accident. The boy was rushed to Kern Medical Center by emergency medical services (EMS) teams for treatment of his head and torso injuries by doctors and nurses. The driver of the car sped away from the scene with a piece of the chain link fence still attached to the vehicle. Police officials found the car about a mile away near a trailer park on Bell Terrace. It is unknown if anyone was arrested for the hit-and-run. Officials are reportedly conducting a full investigation.
