California personal injury attorneys alert- A structure fire near Big Bear Lake injured a firefighter.
San Bernardino, CA—A structure fire near Big Bear Lake destroyed the residence and injured a firefighter on Sunday, January 24, 2010. Fire crews from Big Bear Lake and Big Bear City, as reported by BigBearGrizzly.net, helped to extinguish the blazing fire on Lagonita Drive and Lagunita Lane.
According to fire officials, and unoccupied home caught on fire for unknown reasons, and completely destroyed the residence. A Big Bear Lake firefighter was reportedly injured while battling the inferno. The brave firefighter was electrocuted, but it was unclear how he was electrocuted. He was rushed to Bear Valley Hospital for treatment of his injuries by doctors and nurses. Police officials have not released his condition and identity at this time. During the blaze the second floor of the structure collapsed to the first floor, and live power lines were laying on the tree limbs outside the home. The fire was eventually extinguished from the inside the burning building. Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) http://www.osha.gov/ officials are expected to arrive at the scene to conduct a full investigation into the house fire. Fawnskin fire crews also responded to the scene, along with Bear Valley Electric, who is repairing the power lines.
