Wisconsin State Patrol alerts automobile accident lawyers- A crash involving two milk trucks injured three people.
Sparta, WI—Two milk trucks crashed on Highway 27, and injured three people on Sunday morning, January 24, 2010. The two-vehicle crash occurred around 8:22 a.m., just south of Organic Drive in the town of Portland, as reported by the La Crosse Tribune.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department reported that a milk truck driven by Alvin Balmer, 61, of Bangor was traveling southbound on Highway 27, when he crossed the centerline and sideswept a northbound milk truck driven by Joseph Lasko, 29, of La Crosse. Balmer, Lasko, and Lasko’s passenger, Christopher Lasko, 29, of La Crosse were injured in the collision. The drivers of both milk trucks and the passenger were rushed by responding emergency medical services (EMS) crews to Franciscan Skemp Medical Center in Sparta for treatment of what has been described as “minor” injuries. It is currently unknown why Balmer crossed the centerline and crashed with the other truck. A full investigation is currently underway by accident investigators. Police officials have no issued any citations in connection with the wreck at this time.
The Wisconsin State Patrol, Cashton First Responders, Cashton Fire Department and Tri-State Ambulance all responded to the wreck.
