Toyota officials reported Tuesday, February 9, 2010, that it was recalling 7,300 of the 2010 Camry just after its recent recall of the Prius for brake issues due to a programming issue. The company allegedly informed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) www.nhtsa.gov that the Camry’s brake hose problem was discovered on the vehicles during a normal inspection. There have been no motor vehicle accidents reported in correlation the vehicle issue. Toyota has recalled the vehicle due to the potential problem that the hose could come into contact with the brake tube, which would lead to a loss of brake fluid. Government authorities began to take a deeper look into consumer complaints about Corolla’s and steering problems. The Corporation has prepared to send out letters to the vehicle owners informing them that they should come in for a free repair for the recalled vehicles.
