Arizona aviation accident attorneys alert- The FAA and the NTSB are investigating a fatal helicopter crash near Phoenix, AZ.

Phoenix, AZ—A Sunday afternoon, February 14, 2010 helicopter crash claimed the lives of three people, which included two adults and a child. The helicopter plummeted to the ground around 3:00 p.m., just north of Phoenix near 73rd Street and Highland Avenue, as reported by ABC15.

Witnesses saw the private 6-seater Eurocopter EC135 making unusual noises as parts were separating from the chopper. The helicopter then crashed in a wash between homes, and burst into flames on impact. Three victims have been confirmed, but officials have yet to determine if anyone else was inside the 6-seater aircraft. Debris from the wreckage was found across hundreds of feet. No injuries on the ground were immediately reported but police deputies are contacting nearby residents to make sure no one was hurt by the falling debris. The debris and wreckage was then collected for investigation purposes. The three people were killed on impact; their identities are currently being withheld. The helicopter was registered to Services Group of America in Scottsdale. It is unknown why the chopper crashed; the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) http://www.faa.gov/ officials are looking to causes. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) http://www.ntsb.gov/ is also conducting a full investigation. It is unknown where the helicopter was headed when the fatal crash occurred.
