Product liability attorneys alert- Walong Marketing Inc. recalls Flying Horse chewy candy for undeclared peanuts.
Anaheim, CA—Flying Horse Black and White Sesame Chewy Candy has been voluntarily recalled by Walong Marketing, Inc. of Buena Park due to an undeclared allergen. The federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released the recall on Wednesday, February 17, 2010.
The chewy candy was reportedly packaged in a 3.5 oz plastic bag, which was labeled with a UPC code of 673367487915 and sold at retail stores across the U.S. All “Best Before” dates are included in this recall. The recall was prompted after the FDA received a complaint from a consumer who had suffered an allergic reaction to the chewy candy. After tests were conducted on the product, it was determined that undeclared peanuts were the cause of the allergic reaction. To date, there have been no illness or allergic reactions reported to Walong Marketing, Inc. Any consumers who have purchased the Flying Horse Black and White Sesame Chewy Candy is asked to return it to the place of purchase to receive a full refund. People who suffer from severe sensitivity to peanuts are at risk of serious and life-threatening allergic reactions if they happen to eat the product.
