Utah motorcycle accident lawyers alert- A man was seriously injured in an SUV and motorcycle accident.
Provo, UT—A sport utility vehicle (SUV) and motorcycle collision on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, left the motorcyclist battling for his life. The serious motor vehicle collision (MVC) occurred around 12:10 a.m., near 700 North and State Street in Lindon, as reported by The Salt Lake Tribune.
According to Lindon police officials, the driver of the SUV, a 19-year-old Pleasant Grove woman, reportedly made a left turn into the path of the 29-year-old motorcyclist from Provo, causing the serious collision. The SUV driver apparently told police officers that she took a quick look at her watch before attempting to make the left turn onto 700 North, without noticing the oncoming southbound motorcycle. The biker was reportedly able to lay down his motorcycle, but still managed to hit the front fender of the SUV. The biker was not wearing a helmet at the time. It was not reported how the bike was traveling at the time. He sustained extensive chest and leg injuries in the collision, and was rushed by a medical helicopter to Utah Valley Medical Center for treatment. He is currently listed in critical condition. Police officials are currently investigating the serious accident. At this time officials have not issued any citations in connection with the wreck.
