Houston Police Department alerts Texas automobile accident lawyers- A fatal rollover crash occurred in south Houston.
Houston, TX—A rollover wreck in south Houston killed one man and injured four others, including a toddler, on Monday, March 15, 2010. The single-vehicle crash occurred around 3:00 p.m., in the 1660 block of Holmes Road, as reported by the Houston Chronicle.
According to the Houston Police Department, a silver Infiniti was traveling eastbound on Holmes Road, when the driver tried to pass a slower vehicle on the left. As the vehicle was making the pass, the driver noticed an oncoming car and veered right onto the shoulder, which caused the car to overturn and land on its roof in a ditch. The collision killed a backseat passenger in the car, identified as a 60-year-old man, who was pronounced dead after arriving at Ben Taub General Hospital. The driver, his wife, 32, and their two children, ages 2 and 12, were rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital-Texas Medical Center by responding rescue teams for treatment of their injuries. They reportedly sustained non-life threatening injuries. Police officials later found narcotics on the man who passed away in the wreck. The crash is currently under investigation. Charges have not been filed at this time. Identities of the victims are currently being withheld.
