TX personal injury attorneys- Texas comptroller employee, Shane Hill, filed a lawsuit against Joe Stack’s estate for injuries in the IRS plane crash.

Austin, TX—A Texas comptroller employee who was inside the Echelon building when Joe Stack flew his plane in the building has sued Stack’s estate for his injuries he sustained as a result. Employee Shane Hill filed the lawsuit on Monday, April 19, 2010, after he sustained serious burns to 25 percent of his body, as reported by KXAN.

The lawsuit names Stack’s wife, Sheryl, as the defendant, but she is not being sued on a individual level, instead she is sued as an “administrator of the estate of Andrew Joseph Stack III.” The lawsuit does not allege any claims against Sheryl for any wrongdoing or wish to seek any recovery from her.

On the day of the plane crash, Hill was reportedly talking on his phone when he suddenly heard the explosion’s impact over his right shoulder. The explosion severely burned 25 percent of his body, including his back, neck, ears, hands and some of his face. Hill was treated at the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.

The lawsuit is seeking recovery of physical pain and mental anguish, physical impairment, disfigurement, medical expenses and loss of earning and earning capacity.

On February 13, Joe Stack set his home on fire before flying his plane into the side of the Echelon building, which houses the IRS offices. Sheryl reportedly took off with her daughter to a hotel the night before the incident because Stack apparently went crazy over his issues with the IRS.
