Tampa Bay, FL (Tampa Auto Accident Attorney News)—A Wesley Chapel crash killed one woman and seriously injured three others on Thursday, June 3, 2010. A car reportedly lost control on State Road 54, causing the fatal wreck just east of River Glen Boulevard around 5:15 p.m. in Wesley Chapel, as reported by the St. Petersburg Times.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers reported Kristen M. Myers, 27, of Wesley Chapel was traveling westbound on S.R. 54, when she attempted to pass slower-moving traffic. As she was passing traffic, she suddenly lost control of her 1998 Pontiac Trans Am, causing her to veer into the eastbound lanes. Myers then over-corrected and spun-out into the path of an eastbound 2006 Chevy SUV.
The two vehicles consequently slammed into one another, partially ejecting Myers from her vehicle. Myers tragically died from her severe injuries.
The driver of the Chevy SUV, Marcia L. Sanchez, 39, of Wesley Chapel was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition. Two passengers in the SUV, Raymond Sanchez, 15, and Megan Sanchez, 13, were seriously injured in the collision.
The Florida Highway Patrol is conducting a full investigation into the fatal two-vehicle wreck.
