New York, NY – The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a press release Wednesday, June 30, 2010, announcing a voluntary recall initiated by Domega NY International Co. Ltd of Brooklyn. The recall involves FUMA Custard Pies.

According to the press release, the pies may contain undeclared milk powder. The FDA warns that consumers who are allergic to milk products may face the risk of serious or life-threatening injuries if they consume the pies.

The recalled pie is packaged in a 650-gram cardboard box that has 26 individual packages inside. The date code is 2010 02 04AA. The products were made in China and sold in New York.

The recall was issued after it was noticed the manufacturer’s written recipe for FUMA custard pie contained milk powder, which was not declared as an ingredient on the label.

No illnesses were declared in connection with the undeclared milk powder.

The FDA tells customers who purchased the custard pie to return it to the place of purchase. Any questions can be directed to the company at (646) 388-3032.
