Queens, NY – A 23-year-old Queens was arrested on charges in connection with a house fire that killed his pregnant girlfriend and her two-year-old son, according to reports from NY1.com. Jimmy Humphrey is charged with arson and assault.
According to Queens District Attorney Richard Brown, Humphrey admitted to shoving Linda Anderson. The shove caused her to fall and knock a bottle of nail polish remover and candle, thus setting her on fire.
Humphrey was the man who eventually called 911, but waited to make the call until he got home.
Also, according to the New York City Fire Department, he gave the wrong address when reporting the fire.
